Brave Church

Looking for a spiritual service but not a member of a congregation? Planning an Interfaith ceremony? Then, I might be your pastor!

For 8 years, I've conducted weddings in Colorado, California, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and the District of Columbia among other places including Argentina!

I will travel to you. Same sex couples are welcome too. All that is important to me is that you are willing to make a serious life time commitment to each other.

This is what others are saying about my participation in their ceremonies:

We were both a little nervous, but Elizabeth's presence was warm and calming. She incorporated a script that we had written with some of her own passages and was genuine, funny, and endearing in her delivery. Her enthusiasm and smile made our ceremony just what we wanted it to be. It's been two and a half years and family and friends are still talking about what a great ceremony it was!" -Trevor and Traci

"Rev. Elizabeth was the perfect choice in an officiant! From our very first meeting, Elizabeth was professional organized, funny, and genuinely concerned for the success of our marriage. Elizabeth helped us create customized vows and led a personalized, beautiful ceremony. We are truly blessed that she was a special part of our most memorable day. Even now, over 4 years later, we still receive compliments on her service." -Tom and Jenny

These are some of the things that are important to me if I am involved in your wedding:

1. You go through pre-marriage counseling of some sort (if not with me another spiritual or psychological professional). I believe marriage is huge, sacred committment. Time is needed to sort through the major life change the exchanging of wedding vows are-- even if you've lived together before getting engaged.

2. You include some spiritual elements in your service. As a Christian minister, it is important for me to include prayer and at least one scripture reading in the ceremony (of your choosing). Readings from authors or spiritual teachers are welcome as well, but at least once Biblical text is required.

3. We meet in person (or on Skype or Facetime) at least once (and more if I am doing your pre-marriage sessions) to get to know one another better. I want us to feel comfortable with each other when your big day comes!
