I have appreciated your articles from your trip to Africa. Several years ago my wife and I spent 10 days in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Rio de Janerio. Those folks had a richness that I have never experienced anywhere in this country. They knew how to enjoy and appreciate what they had rather than worry and scramble for what they didn't have. It gives a new understanding for Jesus' words about being harder for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. If all of us could take such a trip once a year it would be a much richer world. Thanks for sharing your experience.
